RIAT will train specialists for the Crimea

In the period from 23 to 27 of April, 2014 vice-rectors of the Russian International Academy for Tourism A.N. Antoshin and A.S. Sokolov took part in the All-Russian Congress “Holidays in the Crimea – 2014”.

Dmitry Amunts, Deputy Director of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Sergey Aksenov, Acting Head of the Republic of Crimea, Elena Yurchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea participated in the Congress.

Within the framework of the event negotiations took place with Elena Yurchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, and a number of heads of municipal authorities, they discussed the issues of organization of tourist staff professional retraining according to the Russian educational standards.

Heads of Municipal authorities of Sevastopol, Yalta, Evpatoria and other cities showed special interest in organization of tourist staff professional retraining courses.

Other major questions, related to further cooperation in the sphere of educational activities with participation of highly qualified faculty members of the Academy, were discussed. An agreement was reached concerning consultancy services on these issues on an ongoing basis.

Besides, A.S. Sokolov, Director of RIAT Moscow branch, made a report “Health tourism as a prospect of tourist clusters development in the Crimea” at the round table meeting “Medical and health tourism in the Republic of Crimea”.

Participants of the round table meeting discussed the ways of a further social and health tourism developent in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
